Orel explicitly compares <mentioned xml:lang="gmw-x-proto">*audaz</mentioned> with Latin <mentioned xml:lang="" target="#cog_lat_uber"><ref target="#cog_lat_uber">ūber</ref></mentioned> <bibl corresp="#orel2003" n="s.v. *audaz ~ *audan">Orel 2003: s.v. *audaz ~ *audan</bibl>.
