Particularly similar cognate with Sanskrit स्यूमन् (syū́man, ‘band, thong, bridle’), Ancient Greek ῠ̔μήν (hŭmḗn, ‘film, membrane, sinew’), the latter two which stem from a pre-form *syuHmen.
